Sea Turtles

Sea turtles are reptiles. There are 7 species of sea turtles: flatback, green, hawksbill, Kemp’s ridley, leatherback, loggerhead, and olive ridley. Sea turtles are ancient creatures that have lived for over 100 million years! Some turtles can live up to 100 years. The leatherback sea turtle is the largest of all sea turtles, weighing up to 2,000 pounds. Since sea turtles don’t have teeth, they use their beak-like mouth to catch their food.
